Steven M. Klein

Chairman, President & CEO 

Steven M. Klein serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Northfield Bank. Steve is responsible for strategic planning and execution leadership, as well as the overall operations of Northfield including lending, deposit gathering, and branch operations.  Prior to joining Northfield, Steve was an audit partner in the New Jersey community banking practice of KPMG LLP, a national audit, tax and advisory firm

Steve is an active member of the New Jersey Bankers Association as well as the New York Bankers Association. He also serves on the America’s Community Bankers SEC Committee, Accounting and Finance Committee and Corporate Governance Committee.  Steve is a Trustee of the Northfield Bank Foundation, whose mission is to promote charitable purposes within the communities in which Northfield Bank operates, focusing its efforts on projects to support education, health and human services, youth programs, and affordable housing.  Steve serves as a Director on the Board of Middlesex Water Company, a publicly traded water utility, and a Trustee of Richmond University Medical Center.

Steve is a Certified Public Accountant registered in the State of New Jersey, and a member of the AICPA and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University.

David V. Fasanella

Executive Vice President
Chief Lending Officer

David V. Fasanella joined the Bank as Deputy Chief Lending Officer in September 2018 and was named Chief Lending Officer in December 2018.

Mr. Fasanella’s responsibilities include developing strategies to expand the Bank’s commercial banking capabilities to complement its current real estate focused lending programs and to collaborate with the business development team to focus on growth of loans and deposits. Dave also oversees loan servicing.

Mr. Fasanella brings nearly 35 years of commercial banking leadership to Northfield.

William R. Jacobs

Executive Vice President
Chief Financial Officer

William Jacobs currently serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Northfield Bank. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Georgian Court University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Jacobs joined Northfield in 2006 as Vice President and Controller and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2010. He was appointed to Chief Financial Officer in January 2013. Prior to joining Northfield, William was an Audit Manager with the international accounting and auditing firm KPMG LLP. At Northfield, Bill oversees all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding along with property management and physical security.

Robin Lefkowitz

Executive Vice President
Chief Branch Administration, Deposit Operations, and Business Development Officer

Robin Lefkowitz, Northfield Bank’s Executive Vice President, Chief Branch Administration, Deposit Operations, and Business Development Officer, has over 30 years of banking and financial experience.  Specializing in customer relationships and growth of overall deposits, Robin brings her wealth of experience to Northfield Bank’s network of branches throughout Staten Island, New Jersey and Brooklyn.     

Robin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics, from Brooklyn College and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Wagner College. 

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Robin and her husband Danny moved to Staten Island in 1988.  As a long-time, active community member, Robin’s involvement includes holding the positions of Board Member for each, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, New Ventures Charter/Lavalle Prep School, Eden II Foundation and Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) Foundation.  Additionally, Robin is both a Director on the Board of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Woodbridge Township Economic Development Corporation and maintains professional membership in the prestigious Staten Island BUCKS Business Network.  Robin is a founding member of the Executive Women’s Council (EWC), under the direction of the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, where she currently serves as an Ambassador, and hosts the SIEDC’s Community Television production of “Beyond the Ferry”.

Vickie Tomasello

Executive Vice President
Chief Risk Officer

Vickie Tomasello serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for managing the effective governance of risk programs and overseeing the Information Security, Bank Secrecy, Security, Credit Administration, Risk Management, and Compliance areas of the Bank. 

Vickie is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the areas of risk, audit, reporting, analytics, and governance. 

Vickie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Institute of Internal Auditors, New Jersey Bankers Association Internal Audit Committee, and Risk Management Association.
